I received my Rx-2 at the beginning of the week and as of now I have 5 shaves in with it. When I first picked it up I found it to be too top heavy, the handle did not give me the balance I wanted. So, I changed out the handle for a SS 90 x 13 which changed the balance now to ¾ up the handle giving me better mobility.
In comparing the razor to other single edge, the likes of the Rx-1, General aluminum, SS, brass, General 2, King Cobra, Hawk-3, Mongoose and others I had decided on the General-2 (again I changed out the handle) as the AC that I used (I like the small head as well as the shave). By the way the only blade I use is the super pro.
I had used the Rx 1 which I liked because I like aggressive razors, but it was too harsh to use as a daily shaver, so I settled on the General 2 (above all the rest) which was smoother (not as aggressive as I like) yet I got a wonderful shave with it. On one of my shaves, I used both the General-2 and Rx-2 and settled on the Rx-2 after the comparison (I liked the blade feel with a closer shave).
As far as the Rx-2 after changing out the handle (I used the original handle for half a shave before switching it out) it was easier for me to control, the aggressiveness was smoother then the Rx-1 and I get the same close shave as I do with my Wolf-1 96, CG L-3 and my Old-Style army and as with my other razors I have not gotten any irritation with the Rx-2.
So if a strong smooth blade feel is not an issue but a pleasure the Rx-2 can give you a superb BBS every time. As of today I have 5 shaves under my belt and I could not be any more satisfied. In my opinion if you like an aggressive yet smooth blade feel, that will give you a suburb shave the Rx-2 is the AC razor. If you like mild blade feel and very good to excellent shaves then the General 2 is the way to go. I have settled on the Rx-2.

Asylum Rx V2
Feather Pro
Shavemac Flat Top D-01 2 Band
La Savonniere du Moulin
Barberry Coast Havana Aftershave
I received the Asylum Rx2 on Friday 2/4/22 and used it through that weekend and Monday morning with a Schick Proline blade. Then another new razor arrived and given my complete lack of patience, I put the Rx2 away for a few days. I decided to comeback to it today and pair it with my AC blade of choice, the Feather Pro. I am not sure if it was the change of blade, a few days off or less operator errors ( hint this is the likely reason), the shave was much smoother today. As a preface I was looking for a AC razor that shaves similar to my Cobra Classic with better blade loading and a more durable finish. Let me say, I have that in the Rx2. The blade loading is simple and secure. When I do my part, the razor provides a smooth comfortable and close shave. I have found it works best for me now with the face of the razor flat against the face. The handle looks great and provides a secure grip. Nothing more needed from my prospective. Overall the razor has meet and exceeding my expectations. The polished finish is equal to or better than many of my polished razors. I am very pleased with my purchase. This one will be staying in the den. Great job Phil and congrats on the Rx2

Well it's been a few months since I've gotten the Rx2 and its only gotten better. So now I have 2 AC razors in my rotation. The General for a smooth shave minimal blade feel, the RX2 for little more blade feel that gives me a BBS every time. I have not added a new razor to my rotation in over 2 years until now, after the first half dozen shaves I added the RX2 to my rotation.
Good job Phil
