So, I've got some handles here that need knots, and one specifically that holds some sentimental value. I've only really seen two vendors selling knots, and have heard good things about both, but I'm not sure where to start.

Typically, I am a face latherer. My only brush in current use is my Omega 10049. It has a lot of backbone, but feels very soft on my face. The two knots I've been looking at mostly are the Whipped Dog silver tip, and the Golden Nib Finest XH. If anyone has any input on these knots or can suggest others, I'm open for some input. Thanks!

Both great value knots. Can't go wrong with either.

Buy both. Cheap enough.

Yeah , both WD silvertip and TGN finest are excellent value for the money. The TGN finest has more natural firm backbone and the WD silvertip , extra soft tips.

IMO if you're into face lathering it doesn't get any better than the TGN Finest especially with the XH. Doesn't take long to break in and when it does after a few shaves it has the perfect balance of backbone and softness.
