About to shave with a Micromatic

I picked this Gem Micromatic up today at a flea market.
Should I use the Gem blade, or is there some other blade I should use?

The modern GEM blade was introduced alongside the MicroMatic.

Its a great find. And you'll have a great shave :)

I started expreimenting with GEM micromatics last August, Paul.  
It was fun adding a SE GEM to my humble Shave Nook.

I would not use that blade in the picture, but you can get new gem stainless blades from several suppliers. I’ve tried the carbon steel options but did not like them. Run the top flat against your skin and go in short strokes. Have fun!
