Similar idea but using an adjustable razor for at least half the shaves for the month of August.Would it count if I only used my Phoenix Ascension DOC razors as the adjustables?
Any takers?

I say yes. It is an adjustable. Not like most adjustable razors. But the gap and aggression do change with the twist of the head. But, I may be biased since half my collection of 2 adjustables are made up of my PAA DOC Ascension Twist stainless.?.

All I have for adjustables are 7 Phoenix DOC’s a Merkur Futur, and a Rockwell 6C.

I do have the ultimate and simplest adjustable razor, which is the straight razor.
Infinite settings. Everything from 'way the anchor to trim the mainsails.

Tomorrow kicks off Adjustable August. So today, I did an Adjustable August Eve shave. Using some creative thought, the shave went down like this.
Four passes. Pass 1 with the pre 51 Super Speed. Pass 2 with the 54 Flair Tip. Passes 3&4 with the Bluey. Wonderful shave.
My thinking with this shave is a different way of achieving adjustability w/o using a stand alone adjustable razor. Each razor used has a different blade gap/level of aggression. So using the most aggressive then the lessor and then the least aggressive razors in descending order, you achieve the same as you could/would with a stand alone adjustable razor. Such as a Futur or a Fatboy.
I will allow this sort of shave creativity for the month of August.

Me too, sort of, I'm going through all of my vintage Single Edge razors. I never liked the adjustable idea anyway.
Now I'm going to post.

Ron, that's an excellent and creative take on the adjustable concept.

Hmmm. This has got me thinking. I don't have an adjustable, but I like this idea. So, I'm going to try my Feather for the first pass since it's very mild, and then my Wolfman for the second. Looking forward to tomorrow morning to see how it goes.
