GEM lather catcher semi-resto

Landed this little beauty and set to work on it these past few days. Cleaned up a lot better than I thought it was going to. Straightened the head out and set to work polishing. Afterwards I cleaned up, did a light sanding, then put a new finish on the handle. In my opinion these lather catchers are some of the most beautiful razors made!

Possibly. I cleaned it with acetone and gave it a light, fine sanding then just coated in clear poly. I didn't add any stain.

I plan to find out in the AM. I find for me, GEMs do best with a little scruff as opposed to a daily.
