SEptember you say! I started off with my AL General. A wonderful AC. Hmm, I haven't used my GEM's in a while or my injectors. This will be fun!

Schick Type G
SChick blade (1)
SOC ‘scotch boar brush
Strop Shoppe Unscented
Snake Bite/Frost Byte splashup

I haven’t used this razor in a very, very long time - probably a good three years ago. Frankly, I don’t remember using it last SEptember. I may have, just don’t recall. I do however, remember installing a fresh blade when I put it away after settling on the Type I as my preferred injector razor. Anyway, the blade seemed clean, smooth and shiny. But, it didn’t cut my whiskers, at all! It was like shaving with no blade. Weird. After two or three strokes, it was back to the dispenser for a fresh piece of steel. This one worked just fine. Today was three passes, because it was a fun shave. Like it was a new razor Smile

Today was the first time out with the SOC boar. I figured I’d give the Omega Jade a break for a day. Man this knot just gobbled up soap and lather! I had to go back to the puck for my second pass. Speaking of which, I may use the the Strop Shoppe soap one or two more times before placing a fresh puck of AoS Unscented in the tub. Seems like it’ll be a good fit. Next shave, it’ll be back to the AIR (Asylum Injector Razor), then the MMOC. Hope you’re all enjoying your SEptember shaves!

Thank you.
And I have to agree, the handle is beautiful.

Regarding the Zenith brushes, the one in the wood handle is unbleached/untreated, the hair is similar to the Omega jade that you got but the knot is more denser. Despite taking much longer to break in and stop stinking I prefer this kind of hair.
The yellow one is treated, in the past I had a couple and if I’m not mistaken the loft was shorter, something like 28x51mm, this one is 27x55mm and works a lot better. I am really liking to use this brush, the knot came perfect, not a single upside down hair. From my experience treated boar hair tends to lose the backbone with time, hence my preference for unbleached, they maintain the characteristics that I like for a longer time…
Overall I high rate the brushes from Zenith, boar and manchurian badger, best bang for the buck.
And sorry for the clumsy english

I'm doing all Shavettes and Straight Razors this month... probably 'til Xmas.
Do they qualify for "single edge" SEptember, Charlie?
None of them have double edges...
