Hello Everyone!
I am from SW VA. I started DE shaving around 95-96 after having abysmal results from electric and disposable razors. The last one I used in 95 was a Mach3 and it looked like a motorcycle tire ran a relay on my neck. I was able to get a Merkur Futur from a website in Germany and used Williams Mug Soap ever since. My first brush was a "pathetic synthetic" with black bristles like a cheap plastic broom and a red and white plastic handle. I then happened across a soap seller at a local fair in the next town up, that had a Kingsley Badger brush which was miles above what I had used for about a year. Happily, synthetic knots have come a long way since then too. It wasn't until this year (2022) that I thought I would look for other/better soap/creams since Williams bit the dust. I look forward to looking into what blades, soaps, brushes and accessories everyone uses and likes.
Thanks all!
