I use both Proraso (green, red and white) and DR Harris (various scents). I like both, but I have always thought that the DR Harris had a silkier, mure cushiony feel. But I had always used a Kent Pure Badger brush to face lather the DR Harris and an Omega boar hair to face lather the Proraso. This morning I used the Kent Pure Badger with the Proraso, and, mirabile dictu, I got the same silky, cushiony feel. It’s the brush, not the soap!

Btw, are you using the Proraso and DRH soaps or creams?
Soaps. I’ll try the Omega with the Harris.
Okay, this morning I used the Omega to face lather DR Harris soap, and the lather was much like the Proraso, maybe a bit richer. The boar hair brush lathers much faster than the pure badger, and maybe that makes the difference. Anyway, I am more aware of the role of the brush.
