A Vintage Simpson 72 made for McGregor's of Wigan

I bought this brush back in 2014 and have never seen another example since, I don't believe there were that many made to be honest. The brush had been stored away wrapped in its original box and has never been used.

I can't bring myself to use it either, so I am as guilty as the first owners and keep it stored away. I thought I would share some pics with you guys, as I know there is an interest for vintage brushes on here.

A very, very interesting brush!

What are the dimensions?

I wonder how the red was worked out?

Beautiful brush!! I have no idea as to collector value, but personally would find little joy in it living in a box. I have to respect that level of self control.

Sweet piece of fur and rod stock! Thanks for sharing. Not that you asked, but I’d probably, no, definitely(!) use it. Not that you asked or anything…
