Sunday morning:
Hot shower
Frank Mini Brush
Canadian Tech/Rapira day 12
Delmy SS
Prep ASB
Booster Polar Ice AS Splash
Aramis EdT
If you guys notice there are two decals on this adorable little Frank Mini brush - an Israeli flag and a Canadian one. This brush was sent to me by a good friend of mine and it works like a champ. The Delmy soap is from India and it’s possibly the CHEAPEST soap on Planet Earth - yes, even cheaper than Arko but in spite of it costing literally pennies in India it’s a helluva great performer. It has a beautiful old school barbershop scent, it’s so easy to get great lather that’s so rich, creamy, and slick - the only downside is that it’s not too moisturizing but the Prep makes up for that small inconvenience. The Booster Polar Ice aftershave is another Canadian barbershop classic - do I ever love the scent. Finally a couple of sprays of Aramis and I’m ready to chill out for the rest of today - perhaps we’ll go visit my in-laws. Two passes were enough for a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!
Wishing y’all a great Sunday - be well and stay safe!

Pre: Topsy Blends Gold & Glow Raw Honey Cleanser Foaming Face Wash
Razor: Wade & Butcher
Razor: Aylsworth Drakkant
Blade: Gillette Platinum
Soap: The Holy Black Tangerine Creeper
Brush: Yaqi Black & White
Bowl: Bluff Cove Pottery
Post 1: P.A.A. Alum No-Slip Grip System w/ Dry Dock System
Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus
Aftershave: Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC
Keeping with Fruity February I was excited to try some of The Holy Black Tangerine Creeper. This stuff is without a doubt top-notch software. The Tangerine essential oil in this stiff is added at low temps to ensure it doesn't off-gas into the atmosphere while they're making it. Tangerine hydrosol is also added instead of the water they typically use in their soaps.
I used a normal, moderate amount of soap but this stuff really blows up. No joke. A little goes a long way, so if you're considering picking some up keep in mind that you don't need much to get a full shave's worth of lather.
In case you didn't pick up on it, the "Creeper" in the name is for the added Koolada in the soap. It adds a nice cooling effect that as the name implies, creeps up on you. I enjoyed it even though the weather this time of year doesn't really call for it.
I started my shave with the W&B then finished up with the Drakkant. Both performed in superb fashion. I have no complaints.
After earning a bbs face I splashed on some Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC and called it a wrap.
Thanks for reading. Have a great Sunday and enjoy your shaves.

Menthol Monday:
Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Canadian Tech/Rapira day 13
Delmy SC
Prep ASB
Henri et Victoria Bergamot Vetiver AS Splash
Not as freezing cold a setup as I would normally select for a Menthol Monday shave but still cold enough to please me. This Delmy cream is also from India like the soap version and it’s apparently very popular in Indian barbershops. It has a nice clean scent with aloe vera notes, it’s very easy to lather from just a couple of dabs on both cheeks, it’s really quite cooling -in fact it’s more mentholated than I expected, and it’s VERY gentle on the skin. Needless to say the Prep soothed, moisturized, and cooled my skin so well while Claude’s Bergamot Vetiver aftershave went on icy cold and it smells so nice. This Rapira blade is getting kinda dull but I still managed to get a great three pass BBS shave with it!
Have a good week - be well and stay safe!
