Your Top 5 DE blades - 2023 version

Here are my 5 favourite DE blades.

1. KAI
2. Gillette Perma Sharp
3. Gillette Platinum & Gillette Silver Blue
4. Personna Platinum - made in Israel
5. Personna Platinum - made in Germany

Honourable mention:

Rapira Platinum Lux (when on a budget)
Feather (first shave is rough though)
Gillette Silver Blue (forgot about them - I’ll put them in joint third with Platinum)

I have never had the chance to try a Gillette Nacet.
Voskhod was a blade all over the map, very inconsistent for me.

I love my Rapira Platinum Lux blades.

My 5 are, in no particular order:

Bolzano Superinox
Gillette Nacet
Personna Red
Rapira Platinum Lux
Silver Star

I also like the Perma Sharps, but it has been a few since I used one.

Oh boy Claus, this is a real can of worms, but here goes; 
Treet Black Beauty, I know, I know
Kai
Med Prep
G, Silver Blue
G Platinum
The only difference for me is the BBs are one and out and the others are multiple shaves. Great shavers all.

Currently testing Treet Carbon (sharp but seems rough) and Personna Lab Blues (thanks Charlie!).

3 - Gillette Silver Blue
4 - Merkur
5 - Any blade I can find when traveling internationally - I only carry-on so I have to find something at my destination country and sometimes I can’t be picky

I once knew what the different Personna blades were, but I forgot.
Why not just call Personna what it says on the packaging ?

Mine both says Personna Platinum - but the cases have slightly different colour combinations.
One is made in Israel, one in Germany.

The "Lab Blues" and "Med Preps", are made in USA, and mine come in bulk packaging for hospital use. I've always purchased them on line, never off the shelf. I used to get the Platinums locally, but haven't looked in years.

This is not a forum for political discussion, but I just remembered all my favourite Gillette DE blades are made in Russia and as such I’m not buying them anymore.

So my new updated 2023 list is:

1. KAI (just wish they weren’t so darn expensive)
2. Personna Platinum (Made in Israel)
3. Personna Platinum (Made in Germany)
4. Feather
5. Rapira Platinum Lux

I'm with you CH.  I don't buy Russian either and it doesn't have anything to do with politics.  It's because I don't like the killing innocent people.

It’s not easy to avoid DE blades made in Russia at all.
All the best blades are made there :-(

I was gifted 200 Astra Superior Platinum yesterday.
Not a great blade, but once was among my favourite budget blades. Also made in Russia unfortunately :-(
