Are all blades the same size? There is another thread discontinued last December that discusses blade thickness. Some indicate Kai is a little thicker. What about the width? In my limited experience I have found blade exposure to be a key parameter effecting my shaving experience. A difference of 0.05 mm blade exposure, such as going from the Feather AS D2 to a Timeless 0.95, makes a huge difference for me. I know in this example the blade gap increases a little, but for me blade exposure is the most sensitive parameter. If there is a very small difference in width for blades it would change a shave experience for the same razor significantly.
Maybe I'm missing something and this isn't even a thing.

That might be the post I found in a thread discussing blade thickness. ImJustMe offered: "Of the ones I've tried, Kaï blade are a bit thicker and a bit wider then the others I've tried."
That's the only reference to a comparison of blade width I've been able to find.

Update on my research into differences in blade width:
In another forum I found a thread that discusses blade width differences for a few blades that were measured with a caliper. The difference between an Astra blade and a Kai blade was found to be .007" or .178 mm. A Feather AS D2 razor is generally known to have a neutral blade exposure, while a Karve Christopher Bradley E plate is listed on the Karve web site as having a blade exposure of 0.17 mm. I've not seen which blades were used in establishing these numbers.
Apparently blade exposure for a razor might change slightly or significantly depending on which blade is used. I've found blade exposure to be a factor in my shaving experience, and I've spent some time trying a few razors and comparing blade exposure and blade gap. I even keep a list of razors generally arrayed from low to high blade gap/exposure.
There is a lot of discussion about blade durability and blade sharpness, with some excellent reviews and comparisons of different blade brands. Blade width might be another factor to add to these discussions.
I have a digital caliper that I use for brush assembly and alterations. My next contribution to satisfy my own curiosity will be to "carefully" sort through my collection of used DE blades and measure the different brands for width.
Oh, so much to do and so little time!
