Finally reviewing this PC soap, it's been way overdue...

Prairie Creations Bay Rum Tallow and Lanolin Shaving Soap

[Image: XWCz6.jpg] [Image: SlXdh.jpg]

Packaging is 8/10 - simple brown box for this small refill puck, ingredients are clearly listed.

Scent is 8/10 - excellent rum scent right out of the box, changes a bit when lathered, somewhat strong to my nose. Can't wait to try it in Kramperts variety.

Latherability is 6/10 - strangely, I had very hard time lathering this soap, perhaps it was my choice of Semogue 620 brush. I will give it another try with a different brush to see if anything changes.

Slickness is 10/10 - very slick, razor glides effortlessly, can't ask for a better slickness.

Skin Care is 9/10 - very good, skin feels soft and smooth.

Conclusion
Overall a good soap, protective and slick. Good value for the money. Nice scent and skin care.
Lathering problem is big showstopper for me. I will give it another go with a larger and softer brush to see if it makes a difference.

Hi Steve

Personally I've not experienced such a problem with Prairie Creations shaving soaps (except on the one or two occasions I've started with a brush that's too wet, see blow), though I've found sufficient product loading is important, as is starting with a slightly dryer brush than normal, then add droplets of water to build up the lather consistence required...

I have found starting with too wet a brush causes lather problems with Prairie Creations Shaving Soaps, Mike’s Natural Soaps and Ginger's Garden Handmade Shaving Soaps...

Take care, Mike

Edit: Fixed first paragraph.

Is the current PC bay rum not the collaboration with Kramperts? I couldn't figure it out myself. Also, would a refill puck fit an Old Spice mug? I've been wanting to try PC for a while now, especially with the recent collaborations/Walters/etc. going on there.

No, it's not the Kramperts scent yet. Refill puck fits perfectly in the old spice mug.
