Ok so for the past few weeks I have been pondering as to how I was going to make my own towel warmer seeing as how the "pro" ones are way too pricey....And too big for a bathroom the size of ours. So it clicked......I needed something small....and something that would get hot......something just big enough to fit one or two facial towels in. And ladies and gentlemen I figured out I had the solution all along sitting in my cabinet. Back when I was traveling an hour to the tattoo shop I use to work at I needed to save money every chance I could and that meant taking my own lunch...usually canned soup. My mom had bought me a small appliance known as a Rival Hot Pot....they are $15 brand new.....32 oz capacity. They are the PERFECT size for facial towels and heat them SUPER fast like in less that 40 seconds.....in fact after about 40 seconds the towels so hot I have to let it sit on the counter for a second before I can even touch it to my face...let alone pick it up. Just moisten your towel...pop it in the Hot Pot...add a bit more water for extra steam age.....plug it up and watch for the steam. Let me tell you it is amazing having a awesome hot towel at the ready without running it constantly under hot water and ringing it out only to lose more of your temp. In fact our bathrooms water does not get hot at all so thats what pushed me to venture out and seek a warmer. So feast your eyes on this awesomeness fellas and let me know what you think of my discovery! Oh and if you use this thing.....keep the temp setting on the lowest possible.....it gets super hot. Im also going to experiment on how to keep my lather hot with this puppy!

Cool.

Is this method better than using the microwave? JW, because the microwave is already paid for. Biggrin

IMO yes its way better because you don't have to walk to the kitchen unless you conveniently have a microwave in your bathroom lol. But the Hot Pot is quite small so it can fit on a smaller size shelf or even on your counter and heats up way faster than a microwave.

We stayed at a beautiful hotel in Venice some years ago. All marble and tapestries hanging on the walls.

They had all the hot water plumbing throughout the giant bathroom,,... Pop out of the wall, and form ladder bars to hang towels and warm the room.

The external stuff was chromed steel of course but anyone who can solder some pipe and hang some dry wall could arrange something similar.

What a great idea! That may be the straw that gets me kicked out of my bathroom though. She just wouldn't stand for 1 more shaving piece!!

25 seconds is plenty in my microwave. Washcloth is nice and hot.
