Has anyone see or had the opportunity to try a prototype of the Titan H1? What are your preliminary (premature) thoughts or concerns (aside from price)? Does anyone have one on order?

I'm hoping that its got just a little more bite than the Tradere SB, with just as much quality of construction. One of the problems I was having with the Tradere is that there was quite of bit of head sticking out past the blade on the sides. This kind of got in the way at times. The Titan H1 doesn't seem to have this issue.

I don't like the fact that all the testers kept comparing it to the R41. Whether or not they chose a poor comparison razor, they scared me off of this one. I'll let someone else test this razor before I even consider it. Don't need to sacrifice my skin on this the way I did with the R41.

Have to agree with Sean on this one. Read about some nicks and cuts and the R41 similarity. Took the fun out of shaving for me.

The only people who tried them were the testers and overall the reviews were good but not fantastic. At $189 I am going to take my time and wait for regular customers to make the call before investing in another stainless razor. The razor does look beautiful I must say.

The impression I got from all of those R41 comparisons is that the Titan is equal in it's efficiency to mow down the whiskers, not that it's is as fiercely aggressive as the R41.

If that is the case, it's not a very good analogy to use on a shaving forum where all of us are so concerned with specifics and the comparative razor has such a strong and (well deserved) reputation.

Either way, along with Harvey, I will report back on my findings with the Titan likely by Saturday. Tongue

My ATT Titan H-1 arrived today and i had my 1st shave with it. I used Simpsons shaving cream and a Supermax blade. I have tried a lot of razors to this point in search of the best razor for me (what a blast by the way). This razor seems to yield aggressive razor bbs results without the irritation, i would say its a medium aggressive razor. I am very impressed with the shave it provides it definatly blows the other stainless razors out of the water but for that matter all of the razors i have tried but that is on my face and YMMV!! Very impressed with the Simpsons shaving cream and Supermax blades also. Yes im probably jumping the gun after 1 shave lol!!
