Omega Wooden Handle
Super Speed/Shark day 4
Touchme SC
Hega AS

The Touchme cream from Pakistan smells very, very nice, and it has a Godrej-type lather. It also has an antiseptic in it (supposedly) to kill bacteria. The Hega aftershave feels so soothing, cooling, and relaxing, and the scent is so light and neutral that it never intereferes with a cologne or an eau de toilette.

Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Astra Superior
Brush: Thater Stout 2
Soap or Cream: Provence Sante Verlaine Soap

A fragrant and smooth shave this morning. The Verlaine scent, to me, conjurs up images of spring--very pleasant and relaxing.

Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Acqua di Gio brushless(!) shaving cream
Feather AS razor
Gillette Super Thin blade (Thailand) (4)
Acqua di Gio aftershave balm

I hate this shaving cream. It's like rubbing hand lotion into my face. And on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 the best, its cushion and glide are both a 1. Terrible.

Frank Shaving Finest badger brush
1957 Gillette Red Tip Superspeed razor
Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus blade (3rd use)
Prairie Creations pre-shave oil
Geo. F. Trumper Spanish Leather shaving cream sample (thanks Gene)
up & up (Target house brand) witch hazel
Geo. F. Trumper Coral Skin Food sample (thanks Gene)
Confiança Pó de Talco (Talcum Powder)
Master Lord & Master aftershave splash sample (thanks Gene)

Today's shave was thanks to Gene's generosity. The GFT Spanish Leather shave cream has a pleasant subtle scent and lives up to the quality of other GFT creams. The Coal Skin Food feels very good on the skin as an aftershave balm and the scent disappears as soon as it works it's way into the skin so there is nothing to clash with a cologne. The Lord & Master aftershave splash had a scent that I found just okay at best but it did not linger very long. Some time ago Gene also sent me a sample of Master Lilac Vegetol AS and of the two I much prefer it to the Lord & Master. All in all, another BBS shave.

Razor: Fasan Slant
Blade: Gillette Ruby
Brush: Vie-Long Beehive (Horse/Badger)
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Dr. Dittmar
A/S: La Toja Classic Splash

Today was my maiden voyage with the Vie-Long Beehive horse/badger brush and I have to say that I am impressed. It has very good backbone like the natural horse version but a softer face feel. The flow-through is very good but not quite as good as that of the natural horse. I have a feeling though that the flow through will improve as the brush breaks in. It has no trouble whipping up a great lather from the Dr. Dittmar soap and I had an excellent 3 pass shave with that Fasan slant. A splash of La Toja Classic and I am ready to get busy packing orders.
