I don't, but I am wondering what the purpose of one is?!

Is there a good reason why I should use one?

I do. No special reason, just convenient trash storage.

I'd like to find one that would look cool in my nook... Plus I would think safety is an issue. Wouldn't want TLWTGP to cut herself emptying the bathroom trashcan.

I use a Feather Blade Safe. It's just a safe and easy way to dispose of used blades.

No. Just a popcan and toss it in with the scrap metal recycling when full. My dad used to use a Gerber baby food jar with a slit cut in the lid.

I live in an older home that has a blade slot in the medicine cabinet. My blades go into that slot and I hear a faint clink of metal when they drop into the cavity between the studs.

I use the mint container shown below. I don't want anyone cutting themselves on the garbage, or even the chance the dog might go through the garbage.

A lot of razors come in plastic packs that have used blade storage in the back. However, if you buy blades in bulk or if they come in little cardboard boxes, a blade bank makes since for safe disposal.

I punched a slot through a chicken broth can and emptied/rinsed it out. I use it because it isn't safe to put sharp objects into the trash. There is always a chance it will rip through the bag. Also, I have a 1-yr-old and a 6-yr-old in the house, and would rather not have something that can be opened. The blades can go in, but can't come out.

I use an empty coffee can with a slot cut in the plastic lid. If it ever fills up, I'll tape the top down and send it off to recycling.

Actually, there is a very good reason to use one.

Before AIDS it didn't mean much, but now industry is taught anything like needles, blades, etc, that contact blood get put into a "sharps" container for the safety of other folks. No, no one needs to take your word for it that you don't have AIDS. It's automatically done and the assumption is made that everyone has AIDS.

I just use an empty can with a slit in the side and spray painted to look like faux something other than can.

It makes for safe, convenient trash disposal. I use an old pill bottle, which I will epoxy shut when it's full, paint bright yellow and label "bio hazard / used razor blades" before disposing off...

When I'm on the Go and needs to change blades, I usually wrap them in several layers of toilet paper which I then wet down... making a sort of make shift cocoon of paper mâché. Better than nothing I guess...

I use a cheap little white colored disposable bank that cost $1 from one of the shaving vendors, seems like it was WCS. Anyway I tacked 3 of them on an order about a year ago and I've still only filled maybe 50-60% of the first one.

I didn't but on my last order from the US they included one for free so I use it now, will be a while before it's full as I seldom shave with a DE.

I just use an old mouth wash bottle. It's a family sized one and 2.5 years later still have not covered the bottom, so this will probably last me the rest of my life. I don't have any children so safety isn't a concern.

I ordered two of those $1 blade banks with a shave order a couple of years ago. They're small, convenient and hold a lot more blades than I thought they would. When full I duct tape the slit and throw in the trash.

I use the same one. Easy to use, cheap and safe
