Hello Gentlemen,

This is one of the most beautiful things I've seen for a long time, so i had to share it with you:

[Image: f687m.jpg]

This beauty is a Shavemac shaving brush 90, D01 extra silvertip..

[Image: f68j2.jpg]

Technical specs are:

Knotsize 23 mm
Loft Length: 54 mm
Total Height: 102 mm
Tortoise-Transparent
Handle Height: 48 mm
Handle Diameter: 36 mm

I just recieved it today, so no shaves yet. But I test lathered it and it makes lather pretty good:

Gentlemen, this brush is packed with hair like crazy! This may be the most densely packed brush I've ever seen or tried.

[Image: f68fx.jpg]

There must have been a badger massacre for this brush!

And for the climax of the brush porn: the bloom;

Shavemac produces excellent brushes for sure, and this one is one of the good examples.

Regardless, beautiful!

Nice looking brush.

Isn't that kind of handle slippery?

Hello Burak, what a stunner of a brush. Bernd has made a wonderful job for you. A real pleasure to own & use.

I too own this one D01 model:90, they really do look stunning, the choose of materials Bernd has used used is of a very high standard and as for the fit & finish fabulous.

A comment has been made re the Pre/Post Bloom, I have had mine for approx 5 weeks and in that time has not bloomed very much, nor would I expect it too.

When I spoke too Bernd he said that the D01 had extra hair, but not to dense as to hog the lather. Beautiful soft tips either dry or wet, a true delight too own and use.

I have tried and failed to upload some photographs of my own brush, a couple of members offered their help (thank you) but I did manage to upload a photograph when I had just received it. Hope you can see it."link"

I like the LoGo on the bottom, great photographs: ENJOY

Hello Bruno,

You're right, it looks like it would be a slippery handle.
But, interestingly it is not slippery at all, it almost sticks to the hand Smile, and the white band makes a hardly visible indentation around the brush which also helps ergonomy.

Back with the review gents;

The handle is easy to hold and is of medium to slightly large size,
comfortable for my big hands.

This one is a soap killer guys, it takes big amounts of soap in no time. It lathers very easily with a soap or a cream. Nowadays, I mostly bowl lather but it can be used easily for face lathering also.

I can not say it is a lather hog, but it loves to hold some of the lather for itself Biggrin. It releases most of the lather easily, so no problem there.

It has a solid backbone but has very soft tips. You feel the 'wall of badger' around your face for sure. No lacking in the flow department either.

The brush feels luxurious on the face. D01 silvertip is a 'must try' kind of silvertip for shave enthusiasts, but if you ask for my verdict, it is a 'must have'.
