gents, I had a razor tucked away in a box that I believe is a 1905 single ring old type, without any cracks in the handle as far as I can tell and no bent or missing teeth!

the serial number reads 940833 (I believe the 0 is a zero)

it's pretty tarnished so I'm going to use the baking soda and tin foil method to remove the tarnish before I polish it.

Andrew, don't be afraid to keep it in the "tarnish reversal" bath for hours if need be before using a toothbrush on it. After toothbrushing it, don't be afraid to put it back in again.

Polishing is the last recourse. It removes silver.

It is by far my favorite vintage fixed head DE razor. It's just superb with one shim IMO.

Enjoy it!

If you don't like it I have dibs. Biggrin

But I have no doubt you will like it.

I'll more than likely clean it up and sell it. If I kept it around, it more than likely wouldn't get used, or if it did get used, it would be very infrequently.

I'll send you a PM after I clean it up this afternoon.
