I've read here that the Derby stick has an overpowering scent, a phenomenon I want to avoid. Does anyone know if the soap version (as opposed to the stick) is strongly scented? Thanks in advance for the input.

The stick is much like a subdued version of Arko so it's not overpowering.

I saw that Shaveabuck now has this in bowl form. Pretty nifty.

The Derby stick seems to me to smell stronger, and a bit more synthetic than Arko. I've never smelled the tub.

If Derby is subdued, I'd hate to smell Arko. To my nostrils, the Derby shave stick was overpowering and overwhelming. It is very perfumed. However, my nostrils are admittedly sensitive and I buy everything either unscented or mildly scented. I definitely don't consider Derby to be a "mild" scent. The only things I have to compare it to are Palmolive, DR Harris Almond, and Proraso Green Tea & Oat. It is more strongly scented to me than any of the three.

I need to get some Derby and I don't mind the Scent as long as it does not smell like Whinnie The Pooh Poo.
