Hi Shave Nook!

As my username implies I'm currently in Afghanistan serving a second tour.

I've been in the military for a decade now as of 19 October and actually just re-enlisted for another 4 years, going to be a medic in the near future.

To keep it brief I have been wet-shaving off an on for a few months now, but still very new to it. I enjoy and look forward to my shave every day as soon as I get off shift so it's one of the small things I take very much pleasure in.

I'm married with a wife and 2 children, a 5 year old boy and 1 year old daughter.

If you have any questions about the Army or military in particular feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to answer!

I will see you all around soon and look forward to sharing my wet shaving adventure with you all.

Stay safe in the states Smile

Welcome to the Nook and thank you for serving! One of my nephews just got back from tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and then 3 years in Germany at Hohenfels, which he said was like a vacation compared to Iraq/Afghanistan. Good luck over there and best wishes!

Good to see another guy in fatigues in here, so welcome aboard. Granted, I got twice your time in already, and will likely stay here until I retire... life is too good in the RNoAF Biggrin

I have managed to avoid 'stan myself - by volunteering for a year in Sudan... which launched my interest in wetshaving; no carts to be had in back of the beyond, and no electricity for an electric face mauler. Many of my friends and coworker have had to take one or more trips though, and thankfully none of them stayed... and you most certainly have someone to come home to.

Remember; your most important mission is to stay safe, and be well shaven while you do it Tongue So as others have said, watch your six, trust your friends and keep your feet dry... paying attention to your G2 (or A2/S2/J2) is good too Wink
