So I received my 3 Vie Longs.
The Fan in Oilve Wood is with a Flat Top in 3-Band Silvertip in 45 mm loft and 23 mm knot
The Red and clear plexiglas is a 2-Bander Silvertip in 54 mm loft and 24 mm knot
The Red and white plexiglas is a 3-bander Silvertip in 50 mm loft and 24 mm knot - the reason it looks like a 2-Bander is because Giftsandcare.com made a special order with a 7 mm shorter loft, thus Vie Long cut the lower half of the knot before they insert them in the handle and a 3-Bander now looks like a 2-Bander, ingenious right Cool

Remember I face lather exclusively.......higher loft than 54 mm is a NO go for me !

Hope you like the pics Smile

They are all pretty darn dense......let me tell you that:

Very nice Claus. For my use I would choose the one on the right, but for pure looks, I would take the one on the left.

Thanks for sharing even more pictures of your amazing (and growing) collection of high quality brushes. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the flat-top knot since I also face lather exclusively.

The olivewood handle is beautiful. I don't have any brushes with wood handles but if I were to get one it would be olivewood. I do have 2 straights with olivewood scales and the wood has remained in nice condition despite the exposure to water. I give them an occasional light coat of mineral oil and this preserves the wood well.

I too did not like flat tops, or even fans for that matter, but this may just go on my Christmas list!

Review ASAP, please Cool

All very nice looking brushes! Even the Flat top looks nice. Usually they don't turn me on at all.
