The Shave Nook has THE BEST swap & shop! There aren't more rules than you can keep track of, the minimum requirements to post aren't daunting for a Newbie, and there are no eBay type fees that leave you broke after the sale. It allows us all to purchase items without a lot of risk, knowing that we can generally turn around and sell an item without taking too hard of a hit to the pocketbook. This encourages more experimenting and more experiences shared among fellow forum members. Thank you!

I especially agree with the "not too many rules" part! Let me also add "no automated 2 weeks between any type of posting" either! Funny, things seem to run pretty smooth here without those roadblocks.....Biggrin

I have to agree there too, never cared for that rule.

The BST sure does run very very smoothly.

Hopefully it will continue that way as the forum grows. Perhaps the etrader system really helps.

The etrader system is a huge plus. I feel much better buying something from someone with a proven record of success dealing with other members.

It's the first site I visit in the morning, and the last one I visit at night - and maybe once or twice throughout the day! Cool

Yes, the S&S here is super user friendly I must say. I have used e-trader/itrader systems on non shave related sites and it is fantastic to have.

Sorry, here it is called "eztrader"
If you have a transaction with another member at the resolution you can go to their member profile and on the right hand side you can hit submit feedback, and give them postive, neutral, or neg feedback.

See how your "Trade Count" has a 1? Click on the 1 & go from there.

It's a way to leave feedback regarding BST transactions. I think it's great that we have it as it's very useful.

I wish everyone would use it, I've had a couple of trades/sales where they didn't leave feedback. It's no big deal I guess but would be nice. I didn't pester them about it though, I did that once on ebay, after a month of no feedback I kindly asked them if they would consider it whenever they had the time and they went off the deep end and threatened to report me for harassment. So now I just go with the flow, when they don't leave any I move on.

the only thing that would make it more comfortable, is if folks also make a better effort to rate the buyers too! Biggrin

I honestly forget until I get a pm saying so and so has left a comment. And then I remember. For five minutes....Blush

I always wait until I hear the item has arrived (or can verify via tracking). This discussion got me a Positive rating-thanks Peter!

When I am buying I leave feedback upon receipt of the item.

When selling I leave feedback upon receipt of funds. If after the buyer has had it for a couple days based upon tracking information and no feedback is left, I usually just shoot over a PM thanking the buyer for the transaction and letting them know I left positive feedback on the eztrader system. I then ask if everything came to them as expected and if they were happy with the transaction. Obviously if there is an issue I want to know about it, and if there isn't one, the buyer normally remembers at that point to leave feedback.

I do not think it in bad taste to politely ask for feedback once. It's a busy world and people just plain forget sometimes. If I forget to leave feedback for someone, I would hope they would shoot me a PM to remind me.

I agree, sometimes I forget to leave a feedback. An email asking me to do so will not be rude at all but will actually help.
