Are we talking about their soap?

I refuse to try it as the last thing I want is a soap which slows down beard growth so I do not need to shave as often.

Now if they made something which would make it so I had to shave twice a day, I'd be all over it.Cool

Would steroids do that? Or just make you shave your entire body? Huh

Biggrin

I put it in my online shopping cart all the time but always find other things I want to try more. How is it? Is it scented? Fantastic name I must agree. Can't recall ever seeing it in a shave of the day pic.

They don't have a soap yet. Although Bluebeards has a soap and Dreadnought is re-branded Bluebeards -they did not adopt the soap for whatever reason.

BTW...from what I have been told by those in the know, the Bluebeard shave soap is made by Mitchell's Wool Fat but the recipe was tweaked a bit. So...it is very similar but not exactly the same.

I need to check my emails. It was from when I was desperately trying to find another source for MWF. It was either the manufacturer or a distributor...I cannot recall for sure. It may be something as simple as scent. Again, I do not know for sure.

Do you know if the tweak includes adding the ingredient to retard hair growth?

After reading this I decided it was not for me. That is not to say it is a bad thing. Just not something I would use.

Agreed. Aside from the fact I actually enjoy shaving every day, I am not fond of putting such a chemical on my body. Lord knows what it may actually do internally once the skin absorbs it with frequent use. Although a wolfman may find a use for it.

I am pretty sure the hard soap does not have this ingredient but do not know for sure.

Well they need to make a version WITHOUT that stuff if they want us to use it. We actually LOVE to shave.

I had a jar of the Bluebeard's shaving cream and it was outstanding. Perhaps the best shaving cream/soap I've ever used. Then I realized it inhibits hair growth. I thought about using it on my butt and ears but eventually gave it away.

You'd definitely want to keep that brush separate from all your others.

A bit off topic here but that is the thing about the Brits - they know how to name their ships.

The soap is the same as MWF as far as I know.

I have the cream and balm and its very good. I think the beard slowing thing is quite good for me. Just keeps me looking tidy for longer.
