All I set out to do this morning was do banking and buy a pair of brown shoes...

I then was put into a circumstance to ask myself the following important questions (Collar, no tags, non-cropped tail, clearly a pet)

What idiot pulls in from home and is approached by a stray pit bulll?

What idiot then starts talking to the dog?

What idiot then checks out to see if the dog knows basic commands, and finds that he knows sit and down pretty well?

What idiot then checks to see if the dog responds to petting? What idiot then grabs a leash and walks the dog around the neighborhood trying to see if the owners are looking for him?

What idiot calls all over creation trying to get someone to pick up the dog, only to be told that he has to drive it to the SPCA himself?

What idiot then packs up the pooch in his front seat and drives him to the SPCA?

What idiot then waits while they call for the dog's owner (chipped dog) only to find the owner lives on the street behind him and is not home/answering?

This idiot. Fun afternoon. Met a nice pitbull named Lucky. 11, and male, and COLD!

This gets me into dog heaven for sure.

Wonderful story. As someone with two companion rescue dogs (German Shepherd and a Pitbull) I hope that if I ever find myself facing the circumstances where one of mine somehow got away that they would meet someone like you.

Cheers! Cheers

Well done, kind and gentle sir.

Ps: Did you get the brown shoes?

haha, thanks guys! At every step after the action was completed I just thought, "What am I doing? This is a big scary 80 pound stray pitbull!". He was a sweetheart though. The three year old Shiba Inu was not very impressed with me, as he barked and howled in the window as I used HIS leash on some strange mutt.

And yes, I got the brown shoes.
