Looking into a custom G3 with 2 Band hair... anybody with a Pure or Best that can comment on ergonomics of the handle? Thanks!

I used to own the Eagle G3 in Best. I thought the handle was pretty comfortable to hold.

Much much better than expected!
In fact, very good. I do adapt the way I hold the handle a bit though with every handle.

I have a G3 in Best. The handle is very ergonomic. It has a nice, solid feel.

I had a Rudy Vey Eagle style handle that I thought was very ergonomic and easy to use in addition to good-looking.

I have an Eagle 3 in pure from Somerset. I normally just hold a brush by the bottom of the handle, so handle ergonomics are largely moot.

My feeling about it is that Simpson has always made lovely handles with questionable ergonomics. This one seems as good or better than most other Simpson handles, but it is definitely an individual call. Visually, I think it's beautiful.

I too have a Somerset Eagle 3, and in my hand it feels somewhat too short, too stubby to be gripped comfortably, especially for scuttle lathering, which is all I do.

Had the G3 in best - wonderful handle - incredibly dense brush. Big lather hog.

I enjoy the ergonomics of the handle, but I do find at times my hand doesn't like it to well on some days when my hand is bothering me, but when it's not I enjoy it in use. I have a finicky body. About all I can say on that. Wink

From my understanding it is primarily only made with a Pure knot. However, the place across the street had a LE Eagle G3 in best produced. Now of course, you can always contact Mark and get pretty much any knot/handle combo your face desires!
