I plan to buy my first scuttle, a Scuttle 1.5 from Dirty Bird Pottery. Contacted Julie about shipping, and it was $37,82 to Norway. Thought that was a bit expensive, its almost as much as the scuttle itself.

Kind of like having a Schwarzweisskeramik shipped over here. Shipping is almost half the cost. Julie makes a mighty fine scuttle. If you don't mind the shipping cost, the scuttle is worth it.

You have a DB 1.5, if I remember correctly? Would you rather have a Schwarzweisskeramik?

I have both a DB 1.5 and a Schwarzweisskeramik XL. They both keep the lather warm, but for me the DB does a better job and takes up less counter space.

I have a DB and you won't be disappointed. Look at it as a one time expense.

Of course, I try that line of reasoning with my Better Half and it never seems to get very far...Undecided

When I get it, of course Smile But it's a long wait. It should take 4-6 weeks to make it, and another 2 weeks in shipping. I hope it will arrive to Christmas.

Btw, It will be a beauty Cool

Got an email from Julie, where she said the scuttle will be done in mid January. Then two weeks for shipping, so I will probably have it in February. It's a long wait, but worthwhile.

It is a very busy time of year for Julie. It will be worth the wait.

That's what she told me. But it's better she have lots to do, rather then nothing to do Smile
