I just visited the the Art of Shaving store in Portland, Oregon and checked out the changes in the formula for the creams. Yes, they made changes to remove the parabens but of more concern, production is no longer in England. The creams are now made in the USA. The Portland store still had a good supply of old formula product but the end is near.

I really like the AOS Sandalwood cream and have been very happy with the product (Yes, it is overpriced. Yes, they cheat on full pots.) For me, it never fails that a product I like gets changed and not always for the better. Since they're now owned by Proctor & Gamble, the emphasis on the bottom line may have an impact on the new formula.

For anyone who uses the product and likes the old formula, I suggest you pick some up before it is too late.

Michael

I like AOS Too. It has a good feel but, I choke on the price.

Then ... it is owned by Gillette.

But, thanks for the info and if you want the old formula you better go and get it fast.

If they're loading the tubs based on weight, and that weight matches what's printed on the label, I can't see how that is cheating.

They do sell by weight and I wish that all shaving creams were packaged and sold that way. When you buy something packaged in fluid ounces or milliliters you never really know how much product you are getting.

So I recently travelled to The Art of Shaving in NY and I purchase the sandalwood scent. To me it has a nice sandalwood smell. It does say on the box essensial oils. Made in England

I guess I was the lucky one. Smile. Going to be the shaving cream for tomorrows shave.

Not trying to spam the forum, but I happened to find some of the discontinued Art of Shaving soaps with tallow online, and I figured you guys would appreciate the info. Here's a link for those who are interested. Both the unscented and sandalwood are the old kind that I knew and loved.
