After accumulating wet shaving items at an astounding rate I decided it was finally time for some type of storage unit. I wanted a Shelf to fit all of my razors/brushes/soaps/creams/blades/etc.

Looking at numerous ideas I almost pulled the trigger on a test tube rack before I saw a picture of a Shaving Shelf that caught my eye.

After conversing with the builder and numerous e-mails I decided what I wanted-
An African Mahogany unit with a center shelf.

Although modest by most of the the forum members collections it fit my needs well and hopefully it's size will curb my need to bring Home more shaving itemsRolleyes

Seen here with all my "stuff"

This shelf looks really nice. Who build it for you and how much did you pay?

Next step is to turn it into a rotating "Lazy Susan" style so you can hide two more shelves and no one will ever know you have a secret stash of "other' shaving supplies.CoolSmile

How about a dozen shelves in a row..stacked 3 high on one wall and then drawers that pull out of the wall on another wall...esentially start small..end big...kind of like the Winchester House in California or the Pyramids in Egypt. The basic shelf is very nice..now just a matter of attaching additional units.Tongue

Just back from work-

Thanks for the compliments guys.I really liked how the shelf turned out.

For those who were curious about the shelf here is some info:
http://imgur.com/a/YQTF8#0

His name is Brian and he can be reached at bd_engel@hotmail.com
The shelf I had built for me obliviously cost more than the basic shelf due to the exotic wood and middle shelf. It is also a little wider as I wanted to store three 1-cup bowls.Being wider also let me add a third brush holder.

Brian is very easy to work with and ships extremely quickly so I highly recommend his work.

Tell him Jeff send ya!

That is very nice. Just a word of advise/opinion, you should have gotten a larger unit, or you should of had two built.

Johnny,
I was limited by the space I was working with as I wanted the shelf right by the sink or I would have gone larger. Also, I normally only have a couple shave sticks out a time, the picture was to show off what I have. As a matter of fact three more soap sticks have been added since this picture was taken.
One of the razors in the pic (Cobra Classic) is on loan from the tour so that leaves two spaces open for razors but I think I know the razor collection won't be getting any larger anytime soon.

I will just rotate some of my stock to my medicine cabinet as my soap collection is growing more than anything.
