I recently did this piece which had a crack near the toe. Since it was already damaged the client said " Modify it however you see fit" .
So I did. I figured since it was not original I'd just have fun with it. I went ahead and reshaped the shaft from being straight to having some sculpted shape to it without damaging the makers mark.
I used Honey Horn for the scales and since I wanted brass in the mix but didn't want liners I inlaid the brass into the scales just at the wedge. Lining just the wedge would have made it very thin so I did just the opposite to get it in.
He was very happy with the results as it added some character to an otherwise damaged razor.
