So Floïd Blue is over and some of us are very upset.
OK.
Why not to try Brummell as a substitute?

Never heard of Brummell, except the Beau Brummell straight razor. What country, what vendor, description of the aftershave?

Spanish, also found at some Portuguese shops and vendors.
Apparently made by PUIG, makers of other fine Spanish toiletries.

Brummel is very nice but it doesn't have menthol..menthol is a must for any serious contender for a Floid Blue substitute. Wink

What about the scent? Does it smell anything at all like Floid Blue?

Bought a bottle today because of you. Was fairly inexpensive, 6.93 € for a 250 ml bottle @Froiz.
But for me the scent is completely different from Floïd Blue, pleasant but somehow it reminds me Aqua Velva.
Nice to see you here.

I'm bad with describing scents but as António stated above it did remind me of Aqua Velva..I only had a tiny sample (barely 1 use) to try so I couldn't really form a solid opinion on it.

I apologize but I had not seen your answer before.
Brummel has menthol in the ingredients list as you can see

Well apparently the sample I was sent was not Brummel as what I used had no menthol whatsoever.

Arrgh... no Froiz shops in southern Portugal Tongue

If it is something along the lines of Aqua Velva, then it's gotta be good stuff.
I have to visit some shops around here, then Biggrin

I've been interested in this one for a while. If it smells similar to Aqua Velva I think I need to give it a try sometime.

This stuff looks interesting. Hitting all the ingredient notes for me..allantoin, menthol etc. Maybe Phill could see if he could carry it?

I'm digging the ingredients and vibe but the price is a bit up there IMO. When you factor in shipping to the states the cost per ml is on par with Floid Blue..I think I'd rather just order an extra backup bottle of Floid. Biggrin

I went into a shop here in Lisbon where I've seen Brummel before. Or at least, I thought I've seen it. Well, apparently not, they didn't have it in stock.

But they had the Floïd Vigoroso. So the trip was not in vain... Es que me gusta el olor del Floïd por la mañana...! BiggrinCool
