Brick NJ was at the heart of the hurricane. Joe is normally a quick shipper but the hurricane knocked out power, internet service, etc. Hopefully he is back to normal soon.

What Phil said. Some people in NY still don't even have power.

I'm sure the roads are still all torn up. Normalcy will not return for several months I'd imagine.

Shave a buck is located in an area where the brunt of the storm hit, also Joe has a real job, and in this I know he had a lot to do after the storm. Shipping seems to be a problem in the past weeks for me as well. Priority shipments to me and from me to my customers take a day or two longer right now. My local PO was closed for four days after the storm, and I others too, so this can add to delays as well.

Just glad everyone in NJ is safe and sound and looks like you'll be able to get back to life as normal in the near future.

BoyExXXm,

I had a purchase this summer from Shave-a-buck that the post office used their special "ox-cart" delivery from NJ to Mass, meaning it was about two-weeks.

However I know that it wasn't Shave-a-buck's fault because he had sent a shipping confirmation when he shipped. When I received the package, indeed the postmark marched Joe's email.

Did you receive a shipping confirmation?

I could be mistaken but I think I remember Joe saying on this forum he is a Police Sgt. If that's the case I'm sure he's very busy at work with the aftermath of the storm.

To add to what everyone has said, handling and shipping has been a double-whammy with Sandy. I'm sure Joe got the order completed as soon as he could, but then the shipping has to go through the heart of the damaged infrastructure. We have had extraordinary delays in diaper and baby stuff shipping from Amazon.

In comparison, I ordered something from him this summer and I got it within three days. I live in Mass. as well.

Ordered from Shaveabuck about a month ago and after placing the order realized I wanted to add something to my order.
E-mailed Joe and asked if this was possible-twice- no reply.

Got my package a week later, also in Massachusetts.

Lots of people ordering from MA in this thread.

I just ordered two packages from Joe after the storm and got them both within 3 days from order. As fast as any other vendor I have used. I am in CA.

Joe is located on the Jersey Shore; I'm in the Jersey Skylands. Perhaps a 2-hr drive between them

I've had 4 deliveries from Joe. Each of the first three took a full week to reach me. After the storm he shipped out an order on 3 November. It took 12 days to reach me.

Go figure, huh? Huh
