As mentioned in my Violet thread I am trying to generate a Christmas wish list of a couple of soaps/creams that I have never tried. Lavender is one that is talked about much but I have never had the privileged of trying. So what is your favorite Lavender cream/soap and why.

Thanks

MdC is the best Lavender soap. I also really like KMF Lavender, King Louis Lavender, and I enjoy TOBS Lavender as well.

I enjoy using Castle Forbes Lavender (it's a croap) and would recommend it.

I found that I do not like the smell of Lavender.

I like Rose but, I am going to have to try some Violet.

I really enjoy my D.R. Harris lavender soap. Excellent D.R. Harris lathering quality; sweet lavender scent. Mostly use it in spring and summer, but occasionally in the fall and winter as well. And the wooden bowl is nice if you like that sort of thing.

I've yet to find a lavender that I like so I'm rethinking my desire to try MdC.

Godspeed in your search.

It has a lavender scent but there is also a fairly strong rosemary note in there as well, to my nose it's about 50/50. I think the combination smells better than most stand alone lavenders.

+1 Castle Forbes Lavender is made with pure lavender essential oil. Along with the CF Lavender Aftershave Balm, these are two of the best all-natural Lavender products on the market IMHO.

There's Castle Forbes and there's everything else. It's the best I've tried.

The only lavender soap I've tried is D.R. Harris and I really liked it. Never tried a cream in that scent but I'd like to.

I really like it too. I like the entire DRH hard soap line.

I've tried several and am partial to Scottish Fine. Nice scent it's lavender based but adds some nice smoky or earthy undertones. Sadly I've never had the chance to try MdC.

Castle Forbes produces one of the best SC/SSs out there.

The Lavender scent, as with the Lime, is dynamite.

TSD Lavender or Mama Bear Lavender soaps are awesome. I love them both.

The DR Harris Lavender shave soap is an outstanding product, all scents are great and the lather is practically foolproof. I have found the DR Harris creams to be lacking compared to others - YMMV.

The Martin de Candre has a lavender component, but the inclusion of rosemary, mint and other scents make this fantastic shave soap a more complex scent.

QED Shave sticks are made with essential oils and are reasonable, you can find them here and you will find the owner, Charles, a real gentleman to deal with.

Castle Forbes creams are very highly regarded and as noted above, use EO as well

Favorite lavender soap: DR Harris Lavender. A nice subtle scent and tied with Windsor as my best performing soap or cream.

Favorite lavender cream: T&H Ultimate Comfort. I don't use creams that often but I did buy a tub of UC after trying the T&H samples. T&H UC has a hint of lavender. Very nice.
