You wanted to see an all amber handle, here you go. Honestly, it's a PITA to make. It needs quite a bit of polishing yet. I think they used paint in the knot holes back in the day. It'll be a Christmas present for the Son-in-law.

That's nice, but I like the two-tone better.

I do too. I think I'll try some paint in the knot hole, maybe black.

That would be a neat effect and look better than the glued knot!

Emanuel, I'll consider it. Do you have a large disposable income?
Cause Ol' Dad has some seriously expensive hobbies and I wouldn't mind retiring a little early. Trap shoot all summer, bowhunt all fall, coyote hunt in the winter and bear hunting in the spring. Then I just could repeat it over and over until I got tired of it.Biggrin And that might take a few years....

What a beautiful piece.... I agree maybe paint in the hole. What a shame though. I think the amber is so beautiful...I guess it's necessary.

Your handles always impress me and this one is no diffrent. It'll look great with the hole painted black - old school much like the two tone handles.
Great work!

* Mike, i have to agree with you, but i could not resist an all-amber handle. It looks very unique. i will have to figure out what to do with the top portion.
