Im a friend of polls,I know....Biggrin

Taylor of Old Bond Street has a large range of shaving creams, and some of them are really loved by many, while others are totally despised.I have to admit that I find the lavender and sandalwood really poor in performance and scent, while the Avocado its great skin care wise and the Jeremyn Street its a wonderful scented one. However,If I have to choose only one,I will choose Avocado.

What is your favorite Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream and why?
And the worst one and why ?(the poll is to vote the one that you like the most)

-Best : Avocado.Skin care wise leaves my skin well,as Geo F. Trumper coconut shaving cream.

-Worst : sandalwood.Poor skin care and its scent gives me a headache.

I know some of you will not forgive me, but to me it's not avocado, it's Jeremyn St. Biggrin

Haha, funny how tastes differ.

-Best : Sandalwood. I really enjoy the scent, although the performance is so-so. At first I hated the scent, but it grew on me.
-Worst : Avocado. Might be a great cream, but I'll never know because I did not enjoy the scent. And unlike the sandalwood scent, this one did not grow on me.

I've only tried one of these so far, Lemon & Lime. I like it, but either I'm doing something wrong (very possible) or it just doesn't stand up to my favorite soaps in performance.

Honestly, I can't choose between "Avocado" and "Jermyn Street".

I also like their "Rose" cream.

Their "Lavender" and "Sandalwood" creams will never touch my skin again...

I have tried only a few of these. The sandalwood, lavender, and almond were all just so-so, but I really like Mr. Taylor's.

For me, Eton College gets a slight edge over Lemon Lime and Mr. Taylors. I've smelled them all but the only other one I have in addition to those is Sandalwood, which is decent but not a favorite.

If I would have to buy a Taylor's cream again, I'd take the almond scented one.

I have tried three TOBS creams. My favorite, by far, was Avocado. The Lavender was decent. However, the Mr Taylor started out okay but after a while I found the scent a bit too much. While I will replace the Avocado when it goes, I did not, and will not, replace the Mr Taylor.

Avacado is the nicest to my skin, a nice protective lather but it smells like cucumber or watermelon rind and I do not like cucumbers or watermelon, too bad.

Mr Taylor isn't quite as protective but the smell is just Heavenly! I've got to get me some Mr Taylor cologne.

So I had to vote for Mr Taylor.

Best: Avocado for me closely followed by Almond. They both smell gorgeous.

Worst: Sandalwood closely followed by Lemon and Lime. They both smell somewhat artificial to me.

It's interesting that my preference is purely on smell alone. The reality is that all TOBS creams perform excellently well whenever I use them.

Jeremyn Street for sure! The smell is wonderful and I always get a 100% iritation free shave. This is the only cream I've ever completely drained.

I am always surprised Eaton College does not get better reviews for its scent. It seems so modern to me compared to most other scents around. I love it.

I've tried most all of them and the only one left is Jermyn Street. It's hands down my favorite cream of any brand I've tried.

I like Jermyn St. a lot but it's my second favourite TOBS cream. I don't see an option to pick St. James.
I can't stand the Sandalwood. It's too strong and artificial to me.
