Hi everyone - I have to say that I am drawn to this soap based on the packaging alone! I ordered some on Amazon and I'm curious if there is an opinion on this soap, and what it is. The opinions I've found out there have been sparse and somewhat mixed. But the scent sounds right up my alley (described as sort of an "epsom salt" scent) and its pretty cost effective. Thanks, Josh

I bought some Swedish Dream from Shoebox on a lark. It gave me a lather that started thin and foamish and collapsed from there. I tore up my face. There were other factors, but it was one of my worst shaves. Further experimentation might get me better results -- and others have been able to use it for shaving -- but for me it's once bitten, never again.

HOWEVER. It's great as a regular body soap. Feels great, a little scrubby, and the scent is very bright and pleasant. I love this stuff. Just not for shaving.

Thanks for the info. At the very least it'll be a good bath soap.

Sorry to be so discouraging. Definitely you should give it a try -- just have some trusted software standing by, maybe.

Other than a single tab on the box that states "Good For Shaving" I mainly see it being sold as a bath soap. It will be interesting to get another traditional shaver's viewpoint on it though. Keep us updated.

Are you guys talking about this soap?

If so, it stinks as a shaving soap but is an excellent bath soap. I ordered three pucks from Sargon (Shave Tools) (one of our quality vendors). The wife also loves it for a bath soap.

That's the one. I will give it a try and keep everyone posted. I was able to get a workable lather out of the Musgo Real soap and I've been pretty good with MWF, so I will pull out all the stops!

I tried it once as a shaving soap and it gave me very tin and unstable lather. I rinsed it off and re-lathered with Arko soap. This soap however smells nice, and works great in the shower.

Well I tried it tonight and...it's definitely a bath soap. I did my MWF routine and brought out the Semogue LE and while I was able to whip up an OK lather, like JAYDEE it was thin and started to disappear. So I chucked it and broke the MWF out. Well at least I have a nicely scented bath soap!
