A few times a year I am in too much of a hurry for my usual 3 pass shave and have to settle for a quick one pass shave. My 3 favorite razors for such a task are:

The Cadet Mongoose

The iKon Bulldog Open Comb

The Merkur Futur -cranked up

I find these three razors to be the most efficient for removing stubble in one pass. Which razors make your list?

My 2 favorite razors for a 'hurried' '1 pass' shave are:

1. Cadet OC
2. Merkur 37C

The Muhle R41 is my most efficient razor in terms of 1 pass results, but is not my choice for a 'quick' 'hurried' shave!

Hi Phil

For me there's no question about it, the MÜHLE R41 - Open Comb (2011 head design) fits those requirements perfectly.

Take care, Mike

I have a Ben-Hur slant head that I put on an enormous custom steel handle I have. Does the trick in a single XTG pass that I barely even feel.

Cadet OC and Cobra Classic (when I had it). I am hoping the new iKon OC will be a one pass shaver.

My newly acquired Schick I1 that would be. I'm so impressed with this razor!
Next to that, my iKon SK9 does the job pretty well on one pass either

Gem OCMM w/out a blade. Nice easy 1-pass CCS. It's like Chuck Norris. Stubble runs away at the sight of an OCMM

When I think one-pass, I'm thinking first pass which is with the grain for me. I would never be satisfied with one pass in this case. One pass against the grain might prove to be satisfactory, but if I were in a hurry I probably wouldn't prep correctly and could easily end up dead on the bathroom floor due to blood loss.
