check your local supermarket or drugstore.com I use (and love) the Chinese Schicks. To me they're far better than the Pellas or Personnas.

I usually buy mine at drugstore.com but you can also find good deals on good old eBay. Just type in Schick Injector Blades.

You know, I've tried many DE/SE razors over the last 2 years but I have never tried an injector. I've passed over dozens of them in antique shops but the proprietary higher cost blades always turned me off.
How many shaves/passes do they average? Always seemed pricey to me to pay .60-70 per blade if all you get is the standard 2-4 shaves.

I can get them at one of the local drug stores and the price is not that bad.

But, you may have to go to outside of the District of Columbia to get them cause as far as I have heard only Government Offices and National Monuments exist in DC and you have to go to a real State to do any shopping.

most people get a good 6-10 shaves, maybe more, from an injector blade.

Hmm, that might not be too bad..would be about on par with Polsilver SI's for price. I may pick up a injector sometime soon and try it for the hell of it, I love aggressive razors and hear some of them can be pretty gnarly.

It's worth the cost just to be able to use them from time to time.

the type Es are probably the most aggressive from the bunch, imho.

I have a J1, two type Ls and a type I1 for cheap if you're looking to pick up one.

Thanks for the offer but I picked up a E injector today on my way home for $4 and will give it a run before I invest in anymore, I'll have to wait till my blades arrive in a few days though.

Are the Schick injector blades available at any national chain(CVS, Walgreen's,Rite Aid etc?) I broke out my injector razor today on a whim(haven't used it in 4-5 years)The results were less than spectacular but its all due to the blades I had been using....a "Barber" which is/was a rebranded Personna.

Bigsid I don't think so. There's one chain of stores that sells them near me and it's a grocery store. I'd check there first and then hit drugstore.com if you can't source em locally.

I could of swore I saw them once at a store locally, but when I went back to try and remember where I saw them, I was unsuccessful. honestly, by the time you burn up gas and time trying to find them, you'll save more money and time by just ordering them online from drugstore.com or amazon.com

I ordered some of the Chinese Schicks from Amazon and they arrived this afternoon and just I had my first shave with an injector (E1 from what I can tell) a few hours ago. I really enjoyed it, was a bit light, being used to using the Futur and 3 piece razors with Bulldog/BRW handles, but it didn't bother me. I really enjoyed how small and nimble the head is and it was super smooth..especially ATG. I think it's one of the smoothest razors I've ever felt going ATG..up there with OCMM's and 1912's..due to rigidity of the blade maybe? I finished with 90% BBS with one or two small rough spots where I must have gotten a bit off with my angle, something I am sure will get better with more use. Overall a enjoyable shave and the razor will be a most welcome addition to my rotation.

My thanks to everyone in this thread for working up my curiosity enough to finally try one after a year and a half of passing them over. A6
