I have tried the Vulfix 404 and the Semogue Caravela and they are both good brushes. The Vulfix 404 maybe has around 10% of badger hair and its pure, however its a great brush for its price. The Caravela was a limited edition and has 50% of badger hair (finest badger) and a bigger knot,24 mm,so its more densely packed.
For the price of the 404 I would go for it with no hesitation, specially if you are a facelatherer.

Hi
I will recommend the Omega 11047 Mixed Badger/Boar Loft - Mighty Midget shaving brush, especially a good choice if you're a face lather.
Take care, Mike

Hi Matt
No question it's a great little brush, but unfortunately for me I've discovered via that brush that I'm allergic to boar hair...
For a fun little DIY project I think I'm going to re-knot it with a "The Golden Nib" badger hair knot.
Take care, Mike
