I usually prefer a succinct thread title but could not come up with one. Anyone want to give it a shot?

Any how, whats the minimum time before you can shave again?

I find that I need at least 28 hours before I can shave again.

I could definitely shave after 16 hours or so but it'd have to be ATG only. WTG and XTG would do nothing.

That means I need to schedule my shaves.

Sometimes I want to be "just shaved" for an evening out and sometimes I want to be freshly shaved for a morning meeting at work.

If I want to be be freshly shaved for a 7pm social outing with friends. I need to have shaved at least 28 hours before it.

Whats the minimum hair spurt before you can have again?

I can at 24hrs without any problems but prefer 36-48 hrs wait only because shaving is really a go all out, spend whatever time necessary, pleasant, meditative ritual for me. BiggrinBlush

With all of that time and effort spent,I can usually get close enough to go the extra hours in between and my job does not require me to be clean shaven so it's fine for me to wait if I choose.

I don't know how the guys that shave twice a day do it!

I have shaved twice a day, but only if I need to have as little blue beard as possible. I have pale skin and a black beard. I mostly shave in the mornings. When shaving in the evening for a second shave I use a squirt of cream in the brush, or go brushless for a quick shave.

If I time it from BBS on the cheeks/chin to feeling stubble it would range from 5 to 8 hours, depending upon blade. I remember when I used the electric I would spend 25 minutes to get it BBS, and then within a couple of hours I would feel stubble, and by the end of the day it looked like I had not shaved.

Hi

I've settled on a 3 pass (WTG, XTG, ATG) shave every 36 hours, this allows my skin some time to heal/rest between shaves...

That said, I'm currently contemplating moving to a 2 pass (WTG, XTG) shave every 24 hours.

Take care, Mike

Usually every 24 hours for me also.

I can sometimes go without shaving for 2-3 days when I'm being/feeling really lazy and I'm just being a bum hanging around the house with no places to go and without any visitors coming by.
My wife usually doesn't like to snuggle with me when I have that rough sandpaper on my face, so it's rare for me to go without shaving for more than 24 hours. Smiley_1140

I usually shave between 16-24 hours. Since retirement I have no set time to shave. I do two passes, WTG and ATG everyday, 365 days per year. In almost 52 years of shaving, I have only missed four days, and that was due to some surgeries.

I work from home and don't have a fixed shaving schedule. I prefer to wait 24 hours, but I also like to have the option to shave first thing in the morning. So if I'm shaving at 4:00 pm or later, I'll usually do a one-pass utility shave to give myself the option of a comfortable shave 14-16 hours later. But that's usually the shortest interim I can manage.

On Fridays, I will shave (3 passes) in the morning and then again in the evening (3 passes). That way I'm up and ready to start the day (toddler swim classes). Both most of the time I will shave once a day.

Usually every morning but sometimes twice a day. I had an event last night and shaved before I went out and then again this AM before work. I would not have looked presentable in the office if I didn't.

If I only go WTG and XTG, which I'm getting really good at doing and still being smooth all day, I can shave every 24 hours. If I go ATG it's a good idea for me to skip a day between shaves.

I typically shave every morning after my shower. But if I'm going out in the evening and want to look my best I can shave again without too many problems. So figure 8-10 hours minimum for me.

But the time also depends on how I shaved the first time. If I used a mild DE, no problem. If I used an aggressive one or my straight razor, that might not be such a good idea.

Minimum : 12 hours

Usual : 24 hours

As others have stated, I will shave a second time in a day if I'm going out etc.

24 hours here normally as well. But if something special is going on I can shave twice in one day with no ill effects and a 2nd BBS for the day.

I try and shave every 24 hrs. Sometimes because of the way my schedule shakes out I will have to do 20 hrs. I can do this with a mild razor.

24-36 hours. I try to keep it at 36. After that my stubble gives me trouble... Before wet shaving during the week I would go 2-4 days without shaving. I HAVE to shave on weekends for gigs. Now when I'm getting a bit of stubble after 8 hours I start wanting to lather up. If I don't wait at least 24 hours I'm in for some irritation. I HATES IRRITATION !!!! Happy Shaves!!! Sav

I shave daily around the same time. A couple of times I have shaved twice in one day (just a one pass touch up shave with a mild razor) before going out or something and didn't have any irriation from it.

Yes! This is exactly what I'm contemplating.

A 3 pass (sans BBS) shave every 36 hours or a 4 pass (BBS) every 48 hours.

Few years ago, in my cartridge time I could only shave every 48 hours minimum because of my skin.

Now I can shave every 24 hours. I can even shave every 12 hours if I want to.

24 hours is what I usually do though, every morning.
