I voted for "Less than 22" as the closest answer.
I would have to say that my favorite size for badger knots is 19 - 22mm, and my favorite brushes are Semogues in 22mm (Semogue doesn't offer smaller knots).
When it comes to boar, I like larger knots, in which case I would say 22mm and more. My favorite boars are Semogues in 22mm (1305 and 830) and I also like the barber model 2000, which may be 26mm.

+1 I seem to gravitate to this range of knots no matter the hair, boar, badger, or horse. In this range the knots start to have a a bit more backbone ( I hate floppy brushes) and the knot holds enough product for at least three passes.
