Hi everyone!

So I have seen a lot of different threads in different forums where people are talking about having constant irritation when they shave even after trying everything they can think of. I notice often that they never changed the scent of soap before they switched to something like an unscented or away from a brand they otherwise liked, especially if they were having lathering troubles with other soaps.

A lot of the oils artisan and large brand manufacturers are things that you probably have never put on your skin before so you may not be aware of being allergic to them. Another thing to look at is the difference between essential oils and scent oils as they aren't the same thing. Essential oils are derived from the plant itself while scent oils are laboratory creations. You might be allergic to the actual plant but not it's simulated scent and vice versa.

If you have found a soap or creme that works for you but leaves you a bit irritated, try switching scents to something you have not had problems with in the past, like lavender or bay rum or something, and see if that works for you.
