This individual is shown his own transition from cartridge and goo to classic shaving.

He does not realize the the history of the original DE razor had the same marketing techniques during the 1903-1920 period of time when the original patents were held by Gillette, but most of his observations were made based on the cost, comfort and environmental issues we see today.

Thanks for the link to that video. He mentioned that he got less cuts with the safety razor than with the cartridge razor. That is one thing I noticed, too. As the video mentioned, traditional wetshaving is kind to both our pocketbooks and the environment, not to mention our faces.

That was interesting. But as I watched the new technique for face lathering I didn't hear what he said; I was held sort of spellbound.

I got the gist of it though, and I agree with the premise.

He did say he didn't check (if I caught that correctly) on the 'net to find out how to blade shave. I suppose he didn't do too badly for not having any instruction. Much better than my first blade shave.

I'd hate to wait for him to whisk up a meringue or whipped cream, and of course there were other obvious errors like a chrome plated pot metal razor being made of SS, but whatever floats his boat. Again, I can't fault his premise.

Great video and a good inspiration to young guys shaving with cartridges. That is the only way we are going to get more people to think like us.
