OK, that is really cool. My first thought was if we were to use that here, everything would break down in a few years as I am certain maintenance of the system would not be kept up with. My second thought was how great a SAFE parking garage must be great to have. No worries about leaving something visible only to have a window smashed to get it.

Too many mechanical things to go wrong and then no car. Sad

Maybe you'd mistakenly get the Mercedes with the keys left in it.

What happens if the system loses the car?

I agree with Freddy, endless possibility of something going wrong.

Nothing will go wrong, human error is more of a possibility.
European parking is very pleasant to use. You almost want to give them your money, well almost Biggrin
Every parking garage has number of spaces available when you enter, every space is clearly marked with red (taken) or green (empty). Autopay "wending machines" are everywhere, so you wouldn't have to look for them.
I wish it was as easy to park in Manhattan.

Personally, I think that is very impressive. Underground parking and 200 mph trains. What are we waiting for?
