I asked Bob to make an advance copy of a new handle style I'm working on so we could do some experiments with some synthetic hair. And this is what he came up with:

We originally had a different plan for the handles (second one is in faux horn & is on a different circuit), but due to unforeseen circumstances that didn't happen. Instead, we decided to stick some knots in them and send them out into the community to get some feedback. Both on the handle design & the loft setting.

Specs:
26mm Super Badger 2 Band Knot
Acrylic Butterscotch Pearl Handle
52mm Loft

The rules are simple.
Participants are responsible for shipping to the next person
We would like feedback on how to improve the design, materials, loft, etc. (You don't have to make a post)
Update the list when you receive the brush so we can keep track of where it is.
Have at least a few quality posts under your belt.
Pass it on within 2 weeks.

To sign up, add your name to the list using the following template (use the last one posted & update the names please)(because, you know, it makes it easier for me Biggrin):

I'd love to give them a try. I'm not to far from Bob (Metro Atlanta)

Count me in please! This will give me a chance to cross two things off my list: try a WSP brush and try a larger knot brush. I really dig the color of the handle but it looks like it could use a bit more exotic curvature to match. I guess the true test will be in hand.

A great opportunity for people try out WSP products.

It wouldn't be fair to go on the list being from the UK Sad but look forward to hear everyone's thoughts.

Now that some others are in, I'd like to join mainly to see what a 26mm knot is like to face lather with. Also look forward to giving feedback compared to what I've already experienced. Thanks for the opportunity.

The Butterscotch Pearl 2-band arrived yesterday afternnon. It's a sharp looking handle. Below are pics of it pre-bloom and along side a M&F 25mm Blond Bager and a Shavemac Shavenook 2013 LE.

After I get a chance to put it to use later today I'll post my thoughts.

These are the post bloom pics. I've shown it with the same 2 brushes for comparison. It's a really nice brush! Nice soft tips, no scritch, great backbone for loading triple milled soaps. The handle ergonomically feels great in the hand.
