Man it's better looking in person! Love the way the Rose Gold looks against the chrome. What worries me is that most deadly creatures are beautiful in their own way. I keep having images of someone catching a Rattlesnake, it can be done but, if you technique is off or not paying as much attention as you should...BANG you get bit! LOL. I had trouble when my mom said don't touch that it's hot. And for me this is way out on the edge. Usually I play it safe. But I guess I would always wonder and I do like a challenge. We shall see how this goes. Undecided Thanks CyberJCM for your help.

Patrick, lots has been written about the R41 and you have it absolutely correct... no lapses in technique are tolerated by the razor. But it's a fantastic shaving instrument. It's also among the very few DE razors that I use.

Nice looking razor. I love the color.

Patrick! Thats one of the best pics I've seen of it in the Rose Gold! I may have to dredge up a little extra cash and get myself one too. Man, looking good!

I sincerely hope it treats you well. Myself and lots of other guys will be glad to help you out with it. And you are correct... for many it can be an evil beast, for others, the epitome of a great DE shave. But if your using it is anything like mine, it will tend towards the beast at first, but with practice you will have it tamed and doing your bidding to mow down all whiskers it sees!

Sorry, that was a super cheesy analogy lol. But true in principal Biggrin

Please let us know all about the first shave with it! Oh, and welcome to modern razors too! Thumbup

Congratz!

Pop 3 or 4 shims in that bad boy and a new Feather and have some fun!

Just kidding...probably not a good idea. Tongue

I did that not too long ago and I didn't feel any difference at all if I remember correctly. It's already a wild and fantastic ride. Someone else may have also tried it, but I can't remember who. They'll need to join in and stand up.

You have a great looking razor sir! The R-41 already looks great, but that handle really makes it pop.

Beautiful razor, good luck with it. I've yet to give the R41 a try, it seems like a more aggressive razor than I need.

First shave was pretty good. Only had a few small nicks and was a very smooth shave. The sound during the shave made me keep checking to see if the skin was still there. Not much irritation other than the nicks. I was very impressed.

After few uses you'll be nick free after shaving. Although I have baby sensitive skin I tollerate the right aggressive razors just fine. The R41 is a great razor.

Sadly (happily) because of your post I ended up getting the rose gold duo (89 and 41). Now to sell my 41 Grande.
