What kind of badger hair is that ? Silvertip , HMW ? Never seen one of those AoS brushes , to be honest , and I have seen a couple of their nickel handle ones.

I'm kind of curious too. That brush does not look at all like the nickel brush sold on the AoS site.

Gentlemen:
I am well acquainted with The Art of Shaving products. This smooth nickle-plated silvertip I have never seen. It could be an older model. The current nick-plated silvertip model is the "engraved," a handsome brush with a relatively heavy handle, although it is well balanced. I think it's in the 24-26 mm range with medium density and backbone. It goes for $250.

Thanks Obie. this has the same handle as the engraved but its not engraved. It may have been an older model like you said but i have the soap and stand and this. If you look a this handle close and look at the engraved it has the same rings on the bottom and on the top the only diff. is the engraving.

You're welcome, Jeremy. Yes, the brush has the same handle design of the current "engraved." And, yes, it could be an older model, although I am not sure. As I noted, I have never seen one. The stand is the Compact razor and brush stand The Art of Shaving offers. It's a good basic razor and brush stand that works for the cartridge type razor, but not for the double edge. Good luck with the sale.
