In the Straight Razor section I posted my collection of Straights as there was some interest in my collection. I'm posting my DE and SE collection here.
I think some of the interesting pieces , besides the odd ball razors are the FoldaBrush, which I've posted here and the Military sets , one of which is ( what I believe rare) is the Navy Military Gillette set. I see all sorts of the others, but not this one.
I'm also missing ( up in the bathroom) three more Fat Boys, two Slims, my EJ,and a few more SS's, Flair tips and some ball ends.

I have to ask, how long have you been collecting razors, restoring straights, and where do you find them?

I know there are a lot on the bay, and antique malls have some here and there, but wow! How long has it taken to get this collection? I would not have imagined this many DE/SE with as many straights as you have.

Thanks for sharing!

Been collecting a bit over two years now.
My collection is primarily local. You can tell since I have some holes where pieces are missing. I'll find them. Ebay will be my last resort to buy any razors.
Now,, to complete the picture, you'll have to scoot over to the brush threads ,cause that's up next.

Do you ever use any of the DE/SE razors? You have such a nice collection of straights and that seems to be where your interest is there any time for these? I have to say I am thinking about straight shaving or at lest trying it out but can't imagine getting away from DE/SE. You have an awesome talent with the straight razors. Just unbelievable what you do with the stuff that come in looking horrible.

Yeah, that Rhodium is a sweet shaver. I try not to use it too often. I love the Ostrich leather as well.

Thank you very much. Yes, I have though not as often , use the DE's. They were my first love.
I too 'thought about straight shaving' at one point, then I tried it. I never thought I'd give up DE's either.
But I have to admit, there is something mysterious about them. The almost primitive , in a way, basic, no nonsense approach to them. The skills ( DE's are a walk in the park) , honing, learning the use etc. is just fascinating.
And , just recently I picked up my EJ loaded with a Feather and got a BBS shave. Or so I thought. Went back at it with a straight and didn't the darn thing find more whiskers than I could imagine. A DE left me smooth for about 8 hrs. A straight, pushing 14....
They shave close.

Beautiful!!!

And *local* collecting???.....I am so close in proximity yet I find nothing a little over an hour away from you.
We're dry up here. E-Bay has been my ONLY go to!

Great work and continued success to you! Smile
