Just picked up one of these and I have a 40's SS and a flair tip...curious to know how the black handled ranks as far as agression compared to the other 2 SS's I have? Also, I noticed the Gillette logo is so odd compared to other I have seen...simply a san serif font that spells out Gillette, no diamond...

IMO the older SSs are a touch more aggressive. But I only have one of the older ones. That's not much of a sample to be comparing.

For me the black handled SS was about the same as the flare tip, slightly less aggressive than the 40s models.

Point of Imformation?

The black-handled is the last incarnation of the Super Speed? And is it apt to be more like my '64 Flare Tip SS than an early 50s version?

I the Black Handled SS and Flair Tip the same Model?
I have a few of these (plastic black handle with flair tips) and they are extraordinarily well made, and very easy to shave with.
Every time I am in a rush i reach for "speedy" and it never fails me or nicks me.
