About the same time I discarded the Mach 3, canned goo and carts, I discovered Marvis toothpaste. So I discarded the Colgate too and have never looked back. Marvis provides a freshness that is only matched by it unique and equally satisfying range of flavours.
I just acquired the Marvis Amarelli Licorice Toothpaste. It combines the flavour of licorice with the freshness of mint. "Created in collaboration with Amarelli, makers of the "best licorice in the world" since 1731. Fluoride enriched. Made in Italy."
I love it, next on the list to try is the Cinnamon Mint!

I ordered the ginger mint because of this thread. In the spirit of honest reviews, gotta say "meh". It certainly wasn't bad and a little bit does indeed suffice, but the post brush freshness feeling was less than with standard american toothpastes.
Maybe I'll feel differently after the entire tube, but after a week of usage, it doesn't impress.
Thanks anyway for the recommendation, Ben. It was fun to try something new.

So far I've used the Licorice, Strong Mint and Whitening. I've really enjoyed them all and stand by my previous convictions regarding this being a great toothpaste. I'm trying the Cinnamon next!
I'm sorry others have tried (and not liked) based on my recommendation, but I guess (as with most things) its a case of YMMV...

Ben,
Don't be sorry on my account. It was fun to try something new. I've been using the same three or four toothpastes for 20 years. It was a mini adventure.
Keep expanding our horizons, mate. We all don't have to like what everyone recommends, just be willing to take a chance.
